Dog Shredder — Brass Tactics
Dog Shredder Bandcamp
Good To Die Records
Dog Shredder is the most exciting band in Bellingham. They will destroy your ears (in a good way) in a live setting while pulling off some amazing covers in addition to their incredible originals. This new EP, Brass Tactics, is just shy of 15 minutes but you will be on the edge of your seat the entire time. Pick it up. Love it. Buy tickets to one of their upcoming shows:
4/26 @ Barboza (Seattle)
4/27 @ The Shakedown (Bellingham)

Charles Hammond Jr — Hello, my name is…EP

Self-Released
The wait has been long since we first had a sneak peak from Charles Hammond Jr. Now the time has come to hear the debut EP (Hello, My Name Is…). I was expecting beautiful singing from this dude but damn….I love the music that he puts behind the voice as well. Great EP. Cannot wait until we have the opportunity to hear a full length and/or catch a live show. You can stream his EP below.

Temporary Residence
I wouldn’t expect anything related to The Books to be straight forward or simple. Nick Zammuto’s new release under his last name took me a couple spins to get into. On listen number three I was hooked. I don’t really know how to describe the self-titled debut of Zammuto but give it a shot (at least a couple). The track “Zebra Butt” is below. Absolute Monarchs — 1
Absolute Monarchs Bancamp
Good To Die Records
Insanely good Absolute Monarch albums here. It is the Seattle rock group’s Good To Die Records debut and they continue the tradition of solid releases from this young label. Listened to the CD on repeat since I received my copy and I don’t see an end of that in the near future. Go check out these guys live:
4/17 @ Easy Street Records (Seattle)
4/21 @ The Comet (Seattle)

Ghostly International
This San Francisco artist is in my “Must See At Sasquatch” category when I am looking through the lineup. The music is just beautiful and I cannot get enough. I enjoy this excerpt from the Ghostly International Artist Page:
“Tycho is the music project of San Francisco artist and producer Scott Hansen. As Tycho, Hansen blends swirling melodies into vaguely triumphant arcs that crisscross between stuttering beats and vocal samples, creating rolling sonic landscapes that extend into the horizon.”
You will not want to miss them if you are at the Gorge this Memorial Day Weekend. Buy this album —> Tycho – Dive

Ribbon Music
This Brooklyn based experimental punk space music dance band is new to me. They have been around for 15 years but I had never come across them until now. I LOVE this weirdness and immediately purchased tickets to their upcoming Seattle gig. Watch the freaky video for “Pigs” below. Make sure to catch them live:
5/11 @ The Sunset (Seattle)
